18th century, Chelsea Derby period candlestick figure of a seated shepherdess playing a guitar, with a lamb standing at her side, on a scroll moulded base with elaborate bocage and pierced candle sconce.
Date: circa 1780
Height : 8″ (20.5cm)
Condition : One branch & sconce missing, old damage & repairs to front of base, sconce and feathers, chips & losses to neck of guitar, lamb’s ear, flowers and leaves. (see photos)
