Description
A very decorative pair of 19th century Minton porcelain male and female figures seated on sweetmeat baskets, mounted on scroll moulded bases, the interior of the baskets decorated with flowers and insects, hand painted over a faint printed outline.
After original models by Meissen.
Date: circa 1845
Height : 5½” (14cm)
Length: 7⅝” (19.5cm)
Condition : Male figure: One basket handle restored, the other handle with a glued break at one end, little finger of left hand missing.
Female figure: Restoration to both handles and break to waist & left foot.
Faint stress crack to underside of base.
