Early 19th century Staffordshire pottery figure of ‘The Welch tailor’s Wife
Riding a Goat’, after an original figure by Derby.
Pearlware decorated with overglaze enamel colours.
Circa 1825
Height: 5½” (14cm)
Condition: Some professional restoration to: brim of hat, left arm, goat’s horns, wife’s left leg, chipping to front of base. Typical light wear and a few tiny flakes of enamel.
