An attractive pair of 18th century Derby porcelain small figures of seasons, WINTER, a boy holding a small bird in his right hand, a gun at his side and a dog lying beside him.
SPRING, a young girl holding a basket of flowers.
Faint traces of ‘patch marks’ to underside of bases.
Circa : 1770
Height : 5″ (12.7cm)
Condition: Winter: chips & losses to some of the leaves only. Spring: Chips & losses to some of the flowers & leaves, she has an original firing fault to the neck, where the head was applied as a separate component during manufacture. No restoration to either figure.
