Description
A very decorative pair of 18th century Derby porcelain large figures of shepherd & shepherdess musicians, on raised, scroll moulded bases with floral bocage and candle sconces.
Circa : 1770
Height : 9⅛” (23cm)
Condition: Some restoration required. Break through woman’s neck & scarf, sheep’s ear missing, sconce detached, losses to tips of bocage, leaves & flowers. The male figure has similar losses to to the bocage, part of one shoe & the dog’s ear, some small chips.
Both of the sconces are (C19th?) replacements.
