An interesting late 18th century Staffordshire pottery figure of a young boy, wrapped in a cloak and standing over a brazier, emblematic of Winter from a set of the four seasons. The figure is standing on a waisted , square plinth decorated with relief moulded floral swags with a pale brown ‘coloured glaze’. the flower swags and the cloak are both painted with flowers in overglaze enamels.

Condition : Professional restoration to re-attach figure to base. Some flaking to the overglaze enamels (see photos)
