Description
18th century Chinese export porcelain tea bowl with unsual European style decoration of hand painted polychrome flower sprays within a border of twisted ribbons in blue enamel. (Originally with a gilt dentil border, now mostly worn away)
Probably in imitation or as replacement for Meissen.
Qianlong period.
Circa : 1775
Diameter : 3⅜” (8.7cm)
Condition: Hairline from the rim, with associated small chip, badly filled and overpainted.. (see photos) Gilding worn away.
