Staffordshire Pottery Spill Holder with Yellow Birds.


An unusual early 19th century Staffordshire pottery group of two yellow, long tailed birds perched on the branch of a triple spill holder tree.
The trunk of the tree is brightly decorated with relief moulded and painted flowers and on the base there is a sheep and two lambs. (one sheep must have disappeared during manufacture, its feet have left marks in the glaze but it was painted over & fired)
Circa: 1825
Height:  6¼” (15.8cm)
Condition: Minor restoration to: A chip to underside of the base at the back and some small chips.
