Staffordshire ‘Lavender’ Cottage Pastille Burner.


A good quality 19th century ‘lavender’ coloured Cottage pastille burner, made in two sections. Decorated with crisply moulded applied flowers & foliage.
The tiny seashells painted in gilt around the base are an unusual feature.
Model number or maybe decorators tally mark ‘1562’ to underside of base.
Circa 1840
Height: 3½” (9cm)
Condition: Small chips and one flower missing. No restoration.
