Pair of 19th century Grainger Worcester sauce tureens with covers, supported on three ‘eagle’ feet, with moulded gadroon rim and ‘eagle’ knop to the lids. Decorated with hand painted reserves of exotic birds and gilding.
Grainger & C0, Worcester.
Date: circa 1820-30
Height : 5¾” (14.6cm)
Diameter: 7″ ( cm)
Condition : One has small breaks to the lid and inner rim of the base (see photos) the other has a fine crack to the lid only. Slight wear to gilding from use.
