An unusual pair of mid 19th century Staffordshire ‘Hairdresser’ and ‘Shoemaker’ groups, on raised circular bases with scroll moulding and piercing.
Attributed to Thomas Parr.
* These are modelled after well known models produced at Derby in the 18th & early 19th centuries. It is interesting that they are direct copies of the original, rather than Staffordshire interpretations.
Date: c 1855

Condition : Overall condition is pretty good, both ‘ladies’ have had restoration to their left hands, one of them the forearm as well. A few odd ships and small flakes, general overall wear from handling. No other restoration at all.
