A (*matched?) pair of early 19th century Staffordshire pottery figure groups depicting ‘The Hairdresser’ and ‘The Shoemaker’, after original models by Derby.
Pearlware decorated with overglaze enamel colours.
Probably by Wood & Caldwell.
Date: circa 1820
Height : 7″ (17.5cm)
Condition : Hairdresser: Old restoration to his left hand, her sleeve and a few leaves. Small chips/losses to her shoe, his comb etc.
Shoemaker: Old restoration to her neck, waist & ankle, his left hand. Chip to her skirt at the back.
