CLEARANCE STOCK
Unusual 19th century English bone china tea cup & saucer with stylised ‘petal’ moulding, decorated with hand painted reserves of a Owl and a family of Ducks, gilding and colourful encrusted flowers forming supports of the the cup & saucer.
Mock ‘Meissen’ style crossed swords marks, painted overglaze.
Attributed to Coalport.
Date: c1835-40
Diameter of saucer : 4⅞” (12.5cm)
Condition : Handle of cup missing, chips & small losses to some flowers & leaves, faint hairlines/stress cracks and small chips. Some wear to gilding.
