Giles Decorated Chinese Tea Bowl & Saucer (a)


A good 18th century Chinese export porcelain tea bowl and saucer, decorated in the James Giles Studio, London, with hand painted green monochrome scenes of figures beside a cottage with a waterwheel.
Gilded dentil edge.
Qianlong period (1736-95)
Circa : 1760
Diameter : 4.75″ (12cm)
Condition: Very good, a few tiny chips to the rim of the saucer and a couple of tiny glaze ‘spiders’ that only show on the front.
