A fine and decorative pair of Chelsea Derby porcelain large figures of a girl holding a fishing net with fish gathered in a fold of her skirt and a young man holding a magnifying glass to set fire to a piece of wood.
Emblematic of ‘Fire & Water’ from a set of the four elements.
Incised model number : ‘ ‘ and traces of patch marks to bases.
Circa: 1780
Height: 10.25″ (26cm)
Condition: FIRE: Restoration to right wrist, magnifying glass, end of stick & part of feather. Leaf chips. WATER: No restoration at all, just a few leaf chips.
