19th century Staffordshire pearlware octagonal nursery plate, with moulded floral pattern border picked out in enamel colours, the centre transfer printed in black with a nursery scene, inscribed “Hush my dear lie still and slumber. Holy angels guard thy bed. Heavenly blessings without number, Gently falling on thy head”
